‘Tis The Season… For Frisbee!

Yes, you read that right; this post is going to be about the greatest game ever played… Frisbee!

Move over bastketball; you had your month!

So, as you may, or may not know - us Cacti are huge fans of the flying disc.

An old beat-up Frisbee that lived in my trunk last year has transformed into a full on addiction - especially over here in Internet Marketing. Usually during lunch & after 5 we’ll head down to our make-shift Frisbee field and go a little nuts. Last season alone we went through 5 discs.

Last week marked our season opener, but sadly it was about 33 degrees out.

Today, now today, we kicked the season off with style. My second throw of the day - right into the woods!

After climbing down about 30 feet and almost reaching the highway, we recovered the neon-spinning disc.

So, now you’re probably thinking what does Frisbee have to do with Search Marketing? Well, I’m about to draw two  very loose analogies…

• Know your target market - don’t get wild and think you can “throw a pigskin over that mountain.” Know your customers & know them well - don’t get wild to the point of no going back. Well, in our world, don’t throw a “yellow hunk of plastic down a mountain.”

• Know your competitors - if your Frisbee opponent can out run a cheetah, then don’t challenge them to a race. Play to a different angle; one that you are superior in. Same goes for in the eCommerce world.
