Consider Geo-Targeting

One strategy to consider applying to your pay-per-click account is launching Geo-targeted campaigns.  Targeting your customers by geography is important in many aspects.  Even though your online store has limitless targeting boundaries, marketing and attracting on a local basis can improve reputation and perhaps increase sales.

Refer to Google Analytics data to pinpoint high traffic areas where a majority of your customers are located.  You are able to drill down as far as city level.  I recommend beginning Geo-targeting at the state level.  Simply take your top performing campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and ads and customize your ads to give the look and feel for each state you are targeting.  Your ads should reflect the service and commitment you provide to that area. For example, include in your ad, “Top Supplier Of RO Systems In Texas”.

As you begin collecting the results on the Geo-targeted campaigns, you can then better segment those cities within the state by including additional Geo-targeted keywords to your campaign, such as, Florida Osmosis Systems, Reverse Osmosis Systems Florida, etc.

With so many ways to appeal to your specific audience, try and think outside the box when it comes to standard PPC strategies. Start focusing on your target market today with Geo-targeted campaigns to help boost your conversion rates!
