Are you overwhelmed with the stock of “after holiday” inventory or products that have been sitting on your shelves for the last year or so? For those of you feeling the anxiousness of clearing away bulk inventory, there’s something you can do that may help.
For those unfortunate to have a large inventory on hand, think of ways to push these items out the door in the best way possible. You may not make the profit you originally intended, but dust is the only thing those products in inventory are collecting at this point, right?
If you are doing email marketing, pay-per-click advertising, or other marketing efforts, include a “Coupon Code” such as a “Buy 1 Get 1 offer”, or throw in another product with the purchase of $75 or more; offer something that will get those products off your shelves while trying your hardest to make a buck.
If you have an inventory of holiday related items, add a quick and simple landing page with all those products and provide an easy-to-find link of your home page. Name the link “Winter Clearance” or “Winter Blowout Specials“ to grab shoppers who are looking for the after-holiday deals.
So if you’re struggling with your current inventory, do something about it! You may find a little effort can go a long way.
