A couple of weeks ago, a cool program that Google offers was brought to my attention: Google Grants.
Over a year ago, Solid Cactus created the Solid Cactus Cares fund in order to help local non-profits. As a result of working with Cactus Cares, we’re all always looking for new opportunities to help the non-profits we support. So as you can imagine, Google Grants got me fired up - it’s the perfect combination of PPC and community service!
Google lists all of the programs details and eligibility requirements here, but besides the legal charity requirements, you need to have a website and someone who can actively maintain your Google Adwords account. Google provides a lot of great educational tools for those who have never worked in online advertising before, so I encourage any and all non-profits to look into this program! Whether you’re looking to do general outreach, fundraising, or volunteer recruitment, a Google Adwords account could be the key to growing your non-profit during a time when your services are becoming even more vital.
