Google Adwords Quality Score Update

Google’s at it again! They announce another update coming to their Quality Score metric soon. This update specifically deals with how clickthrough rate (CTR) is calculated into your Quality Score. Google has frequently said this is one of the major metrics in determining how relevant your ads are. This new update will factor in the fact that ads in the top positions often naturally have a higher CTR since they get more exposure. This update will take ad position into account when looking at the CTR, so your overall Quality Score should be determined in a fairer manner. I expect this will be particularly helpful in industries with high cost per clicks that make it difficult to appear at the top of the first page of search results.
