So you have built your campaigns, done your keyword research, wrote your ads and priced your products to be competitive. Now your ready launch. Time goes by and you are not generating the sales or traffic you want. What’s the problem? Check your ads. Chances are they describe your product, offer some incentive like promotion codes or free shipping, or use a generic call to action phrase like “buy”, “get your..”, etc. If your prices are hard to beat, you might have your prices in the ads. Thats a good start, but your site is going to blend in with the rest, unless it really hits hard. Basically, your site is begging for a customer like a 5th grader at recess hoping to be picked in kickball. You need more; you need attitude!
Think of who you are targeting. Is it a “twenty-something” mom who wants baby clothes? Is it a military veteran looking for a flag? Speak to these audiences. Don’t make the mistake of viewing your customers as faceless check books. Take a moment to really strike a chord–that veteran will connect with your ad if you add “Semper Fi” in your ad. That young mother will give your site a shot if you let her know you have more than the same old baby clothes her mom put her in. The PPC market place is saturated with the same ads that might as well be templates. You want to grab the market by the collar and shake every last cent out of it! Make them want to click your ad with excitement, rather than offering a meek “Please click me and I’ll give you 10% off” approach. Fortune favors the brave, so hit ‘em hard and hit ‘em fast!
